Kevin Saul just got up from his seat, and Ludovic Lacay told us how the former chip leader got knocked out after having almost 100,000 chips after two levels.
Lacay had managed to double through Saul at first, and that went down like this. Lacay raised with aces pre flop and both Saul and Men Nguyen called. The flop came down with two hearts and Lacay checked to Saul who bet 1,750. Nguyen called and Lacay raised it up to 6,000.
Saul wasn't slowing down and he made it 12,000. Nguyen folded and Lacay made it 19,000. Saul moved all in and Lacay called. Saul had for a flush draw, but he didn't get there.
Later on he lost a big pot against the player in seat one, Trey Taylor. Lacay eventually took his last 10,000 chips when he hit a queen with versus . Saul is done, Lacay is done well and Taylor is leading the way over on Table 4.
"Tasting the rainbow over there?" Haralabos Voulgaris just asked table mate Jason Mercier, who's munching on some Skittles at the moment.
"Oh yeah," Mercier responded. "You want some?"
"No thanks," Voulgaris answered. "I'm an adult."
Moments later, Matthew Waxman joined the table and asked Mercier for an autograph.
"Jason Mercier?" Waxman blurted. "Weren't you on the Big Game?"
Mercier did not give Waxman an autograph.
"I didn't think we could get anyone who talks more than Haralabos," Mercier added.
"Does he ever say anything funny though?" Voulgaris needled.
Mercier erupted with laughter.
"I bet I can make you laugh by the end of the night," Waxman told Voulgaris.
"Laugh at you, or with you?" Voulgaris shot back.
The table is quite talkative, and since it's also right in front of us, we'll be able to pull plenty of quotes.
We're back with full stomachs and ready to play four more levels of poker. Cards are back in the air!
We will be back in 90 minutes!
We found Sam Stein open the action to 800 only to have Nacho Barbero three-bet to 3,200 from the button. Stein called and the two saw fall on the flop.
Both players checked the flop and the landed on fourth street. Stein checked and Barbero bet out 2,700. Stein put in a raise and Barbero's hand instantly hit the muck. The action happened so fast that we were not even able to gather the amount of the raise because Stein was able to pull it back so quickly.
Stein is currently sitting at 44,000.
This event attracted a total of 474 players, and that's exactly how many runners there were last year. Right now there are 372 players remaining, and here's what they are fighting for.
