Matthew Wood got all in on a flop of and was at risk against Josh Field.
Both players held the nut low, while Wood's ace-king was ahead for the high. The kept Wood in the lead and he was primed to take 3/4 of the pot, but destiny had other plans as the spiked to give Field a pair of nines and 3/4 of the pot. Just like that, Wood was left with just 12,000.
A few seconds later, Wood's phone went off and he received an invitation to Antonio Esfandiari's celebration party for winning the Big One for One Drop. The problem? It was a day late.
"Now that's just adding insult to injury," Wood said after the hand.
