Ali Eslami Eliminated in 8th Place ($26,004)

Ali Eslami - 8th Place
Ali Eslami - 8th Place

The action folded to Ali Eslami, who raised to 120,000 or so from the cutoff, leaving one yellow T1,000 chip behind as a card protector. Nick Schulman called out of the small blind, and the big blind released.

Schulman stood pat, Eslami drew one, and Schulman fanned {9-}{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, thinking Eslami was all in. He was not, and when he received a {j-} he folded his jack-seven face up. Schulman wasn't happy about what Eslami did, but Eslami said he does it in every tournament.

"I want the chip-and-a-chair story!" Eslami admitted. "I have a shot at something epic!"

The next hand, Eslami was all in with one-third of an ante, and the action folded to George Danzer, who raised to 20,000 in middle position. Nick Schulman called on the button, and Bob Bright called out of the small blind.

The action checked to Schulman, who fired 75,000, and Bright thought for a long time, then called. Danzer folded, and Schulman tabled {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}. Bright looked frustrated, and it's no surprise - he showed {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}, which is one card worse than Schulman's hand.

Schulman was pulling in the monster side pot, and Eslami announced that he was drawing live for the antes. He turned over {8-}{7-}, then turned over a {4-}.

"Still drawing live," he said.

Eslami turned over a {3-}.

"Still drawing live."

The last card he placed on the far left, thinking it was a deuce, and it was no-sided, but it was an ace, eliminating him in ninth place.

We're now at an official final table, and play will resume in 20 minutes or so.

Wattel Pushing

Ashton Griffin opened the betting to 29,000 only to have Mike Wattel three-bet to 90,000. Action was on Benjamin Parker and he tanked for about two minutes. Eventually Parker mucked his hand and it folded back to Griffin who quickly threw his away as well.

One for Wattel

Mike Wattel opened to 25,000 from middle position, and George Danzer called out of the cutoff.

Wattel led out for 40,000, and Danzer tank-called.

"Nine," Wattel announced, tabling {9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a ninety-eight perfect.

Danzer studied Wattel's hand, then mucked his own.

Raise and Take

• Tase 19: 5,000-10,000, 3,000 ante

Action has seemed to slow down a bit after the move to the pavilion stage with raise before the draw enough to take down the blinds and antes. There have only been two draws since the move and both resulted in minor pots.

Unhappy With The Move

• Tase 19: 5,000-10,000, 3,000 ante

The players have recently moved from the blue section of the Amazon room to the featured table on the stage in the Pavilion. Most of the players at the table have expressed their unhappiness in having to play over here as the table and chairs are uncomfortable and most of they have to sit on multiple stacked chairs.

Mike Wattel specifically expressed that the Amazon room was much more "comfortable and peaceful" compared to the Pavilion where the room is buzzing with noise from the cash games and daily deepstack tournaments.

Larry Wright Eliminated in 9th Place ($22,386)

Larry Wright - 9th Place
Larry Wright - 9th Place

The action folded to Larry Wright, who raised out of the small blind. Nick Schulman pushed two towers of pink T5,000 chips forward, three-betting all in for effectively 170,000 or so, and Wright immediately called all in.

Wright drew one, flashing an ace, and Schulman stood pat. Schulman fanned {j-}{10-}{6-}{4-}{2-}, and Wright showed {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}. Wright peaked at his downcard, and flipped over another four, giving him a pair and eliminating him in ninth place.

We're now off to the Pavillion Room stage, where the official final table will stream live on WSOP.com. We'll have the unofficial final table redraw and counts for you shortly

Andy Bloch Eliminated in 10th Place ($22,386)

Andy Bloch (Day 2) - 10th Place
Andy Bloch (Day 2) - 10th Place

Larry Wright raised to 22,000 in the cutoff, Andy Bloch three-bet jammed for 52,000 on the button, and the action folded back to Wright, who quickly called.

Wright patted, and Bloch drew one, turning over an ace. Wright fanned {j-}{10-}{7-}{4-}{2-} for a jack-ten, and Bloch showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, drawing to any three, four, eight, nine, ten, or jack.

His downcard was a queen however, eliminating him in tenth place. Wright started clapping when he saw that Bloch's card was a queen, and Bloch clapped back to mock him. After Bloch exited, Nick Schulman and Ashton Griffin tried to explain to Wright that he was breaking etiquette, but Wright refused to listen, claiming that Bloch, "wouldn't shake his hand yesterday."
