Greg Merson opened for 235,000 and was called by Jesse Sylvia. David Balkin came along from the big blind, and it was three-way action to the flop. Balkin and Merson both checked, opening the door for Sylvia to bet 530,000. Balkin got out of the way, Merson moved all in, and Sylvia snap-called off for 3.415 total.
Sylvia got his chips in good with aces, but he needed to dodge the straight and flush draws of Merson. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't do it as the spiked on the turn. Luckily for him, it was followed by the on the river to give Sylvia a full house.
"Jesse, Jesse, Jesse," Sylvia's supporters chanted as he made his way to the rail to celebrate.
"That's what that call a suck, re-suck," announcer Robbie Thompson said over the microphone.
