Elisabeth Hille Eliminated in 11th Place ($590,442)

Elisabeth Hille - 11th Place
Elisabeth Hille - 11th Place

Andras Koroknai raised to 605,000 from the cutoff seat, Elisabeth Hille three-bet jammed for 3.465 million from the cutoff, and the action folded back to Koroknai, who called.

Hille: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Koroknai: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The Norwegians and the Hungarians in attendance jumped to their feet when Koroknai called, and the mothership grew quiet as the flop fell {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. It was no help for Hille.

The turn was paint, and the crowd erupted when it hit the felt, but all the {k-Clubs} did was give Hille extra outs to make a straight.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board, and Koroknai's rail went berserk. Once the cheering died down, the entire mothership began clapping for Hille as she exited through the tunnel.

We're now down to ten players, and redrawing for seats at the Main Feature table.

Salaburu vs. Koroknai

Robert Salburu limped from the cutoff as did Andras Koroknai on the button. Greg Merson checked his option from the big and it was three-way action to the {J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. Merson checked, Salaburu bet 500,000, and Koroknai made the call.

After Merson got out of the way, the {2-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Koroknai called a bet of 725,000 from Salaburu. The latter proceeded to fire out 2 million on the {8-Diamonds} river, and Koroknai called. Salaburu rolled over {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, and it was good as Koroknai sent his hand to the muck.

Scott Abrams Eliminated in 12th Place ($590,442)

In the last hand of Level 33, Russell Thomas opened for 500,000 from the cutoff and got no less than three callers — Steven Gee (button), Jesse Sylvia (small blind), and Scott Abrams (big blind).

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, and when it checked around to Gee, he bet 1.45 million. Sylvia then raised to 3.4 million from the small blind, and after a pause Abrams reraised to 7 million total. Thomas and Gee both folded, and the action was back on Sylvia. He waited about 10 seconds before reraising all in and Abrams called right away.

Abrams: {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Sylvia: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Abrams was all in for more than 19 million, behind Sylvia's set of sevens and looking for a diamond. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Abrams was down to one card. The river then brought the {6-Clubs}, eliminating Abrams and catapulting Sylvia up near the 50 million-chip mark.

Three Barrels from Koroknai

The action folded to Andras Koroknai, who raised to 550,000 out of the small blind. Elisabeth Hille defended her big blind, and the dealer fanned {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Koroknai led for 625,000, and Hille called.

The turn was the {2-Spades}, and Koroknai led again - this time for 1.175 million. Hille again called.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board, and Koroknai emptied the chamber, firing a third bullet worth 4 million. Hille decided not to call all in, and mucked her hand.

Gee Continues, Collects

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 510,000 from under the gun, Steven Gee reraised to 1.5 million even from the cutoff, and when it folded back Ausmus called.

The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Ausmus checked. Gee continued for 1.75 million, and Ausmus folded.

Abrams Grabs Some

Jesse Sylvia raised to 480,000 from the hijack seat, Scott Abrams called from the cutoff, and Russell Thomas called from the big blind as well. The flop came {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and it checked to Abrams who bet 775,000. Both of his opponents called. The turn was the {3-Diamonds}. It checked again to Abrams who bet 1.9 million, and this time only Sylvia stuck around.

The river was the {Q-Hearts}. Sylvia checked, and after a pause Abrams checked as well. Abrams then turned over {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for two pair, and Sylvia mucked.

Marc Ladouceur Eliminated in 13th Place ($465,159)

Marc Ladouceur gets a hug from Elisabeth Hille

Greg Merson raised to 500,000 from the cutoff and action folded to a short-stacked Marc Ladouceur in the big blind. He moved all in for 4.285 million and Merson made a quick call.

Merson: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Ladouceur: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Ladouceur, who began the day as chip leader, was racing for his tournament life and would need to improve to stay alive. At first it looked as if he would as the {7-Diamonds} appeared in the window, and while it was accompanied by the {7-Clubs}, the flop also brought the {4-Spades}. Ladouceur had flopped trips, but Merson a full house.

The {2-Clubs} turn meant Ladouceur could win with either the case seven, an ace, or a deuce, but it wasn't in the cards as the dealer burned and put out the {6-Spades} on the river. With that, Ladouceur was eliminated from the tournament while Merson chipped up to over 30 million.

Meanwhile, at the Secondary Feature Table...

...things have been a bit quieter of late than at the main feature table.

We watched several hands without a flop, with players taking turns raising and taking the blinds and antes. That sequence then changed to Scott Abrams in the blinds three-betting over late position raises — first from Steven Gee, then from Jesse Sylvia — and taking the pot both times. On the second instance, Abrams showed his {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} before collecting the chips.

The next hand finally brought us some community cards after Gee raised to 500,000 from the hijack seat and Jacob Balsiger called from the small blind. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Balsiger checked, Gee bet 600,000, and Balsiger called. Both then checked the {10-Spades} river and {3-Spades} river. Balsiger showed {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}, and Gee mucked.
